Color Toolkit Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Solvioza handles information when you use the Color Toolkit Android app. Color Toolkit is an offline-first utility for selecting, creating, converting, saving, sharing, and analyzing colors.

Offline-First Processing

Color conversion, color-name matching, palette and gradient generation, contrast calculations, image palette extraction, and color-vision simulation run on your device. The current app does not request Android internet access and does not send your images, screen content, colors, palettes, or generated code to Solvioza servers.

Data Access and Storage

1. Information We Do Not Collect

No account is required. The current app does not include advertising, analytics, billing, cloud processing, or crash-reporting services. Solvioza does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, personal profile, device identifiers, selected images, captured screen content, or saved color work through the app.

2. Images You Select

Android's system file picker gives the app access to an image only after you choose it. The app decodes the selected image in memory to sample pixels, extract a palette, or preview a color-vision simulation. It may read image orientation metadata so the image is displayed correctly. Color Toolkit does not save a separate copy of the selected image or upload it to a server.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

Color Toolkit stores saved colors and their names, palettes, gradients, color-stop positions, generated CSS and Compose code, recent colors, and timestamps in a local Room database. It also stores preferences such as theme, copy format, HEX capitalization, the last selected color, recent tool routes, and screen-picker selections in Android shared preferences. Selected images and captured screen frames are not stored in this database.

4. Android Backup and Device Transfer

Android backup is enabled for the app. Depending on your device and Google Account backup settings, Android may back up and restore the app's database and preferences or transfer them to another device. These backups are managed by Android and Google under their own terms; Solvioza does not receive or control their contents.

Screen Color Picker

The Screen Color Picker requires Android's display-over-other-apps access and your approval of a screen-sharing session. While the picker is active, Android provides screen frames to a foreground service. Frames are held temporarily in memory so the app can display the pixels around the target and calculate the selected HEX color. The app does not create or save screenshots, record video, transmit captured frames, or continue capturing after the picker service stops. The app creates a low-importance foreground-service notification while the picker is active, as required by Android. Android controls where that service notice appears based on the device version and settings. Selected and recent screen colors may be stored locally.

Clipboard, Sharing, and External Links

When you tap Copy, the selected color value or generated code is placed on the Android clipboard, where the operating system or other apps may be able to access it. When you tap Share, Android's share sheet sends the text only to the destination you choose. Rate Color Toolkit opens Google Play, and Online Color Tools opens the Solvioza website in another app. Those destinations handle information under their own privacy policies.

Permissions

The app declares overlay, foreground-service, and media-projection foreground-service permissions for the Screen Color Picker. It does not request notification permission. Image access is provided through Android's system picker. Color Toolkit does not request contacts, location, microphone, camera, or broad photo-library permissions.

Retention and Deletion

Saved work and preferences remain until you delete them, clear the relevant data, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Clear Recent Colors removes the app's general recent-color list. Clear All Saved Data removes saved colors, palettes, gradients, and that general recent-color list. Screen-picker history and app preferences may remain until you clear app storage or uninstall the app. Data already copied, shared, or restored by Android must be managed in the relevant destination or backup service.

Security

The app relies on Android's application sandbox, permission system, system file picker, and storage controls. No app or device can guarantee absolute security, so avoid displaying highly sensitive information while screen sharing is active and stop the picker when you are finished.

Children's Privacy

Color Toolkit is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. Solvioza does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to This Policy

Solvioza may update this policy when the app's features, permissions, or data practices change. The last updated date shown above identifies the current version of this policy.
